Ask any group of today’s farmers what they look for when it’s time to replace machines and the responses are likely to include the following: the latest technology; ease of operation; reliability; low cost of ownership.

These factors are central to every aspect of Fendt’s range of products, a broad sample of which will be inviting closer examination at this year’s big event at Screggan.

Several examples of the highly-rated tractor Fendt range will be there, including one from the Fendt 300 Series. Delivering 132hp, the Fendt 313 Vario is the largest of a four-model range of multi-task all-rounders, ideally suited to many of Ireland’s farm businesses. It’s now available with VarioGuide – GPS-guided automatic steering – opening up this invaluable technology to a wider spread of farming operations.

Moving up the size and power scale, visitors will also be able to get up close to a Fendt 516 Vario. This tractor heads up the four-model, lower-to-mid-range 500s, generating 163hp. Partnered with one of Fendt’s comprehensive offering of front-end loaders, it’s hard to imagine having a more versatile combination at the centre of farming operations.

Fendt 700 Series tractors excel at wide range of tasks, from light-duty grassland work to safe, high-speed transport and challenging heavy field operations. The Fendt 724 model set to appear at the IPC event heads the six-model, 144hp-237hp 700 Series and, with weight-to-power ration of only 33kg per unit of horsepower, makes for lively performance.
Moving along from the tractor line-up, Fendt’s presence will include the Tigo PR50, one of the seven-strong range of forage wagons. Combining huge capacity and high feed quality, the Tigo benefits from Fendt Stability Control (FSC) to provide reassuring performance over even demanding terrain.

With the Tigo, Fendt’s design team has produced a forage wagon that’s a metre shorter than before, by means of a completely new cowl design. This not only enhances stability but also reduces the power demand on the tractor.

It will come as little surprise to know that Fendt has also established a strong position in the trailed sprayers sector of the market, and will be displaying an example of the highly successful four-model Rogator 300 Series at the IPC. The RG344 has a 4670-litre tank capacity and is available with boom widths of 24m, 27m, 28m or 30m to suit individual requirements and field sizes.
