Environmental and engineering consultancy, RSK, has joined premiership rugby team Wasps RFC as part of the club’s partner family for the 2019/2020 season, with hopes of strengthening its presence in the Midlands through the sponsorship. Charlotte Cunningham reports.

Established 30 years ago, RSK has become a leading provider of integrated environmental, engineering and technical services. Focused on delivering end-to-end solutions for its clients, RSK has grown tremendously over the years to broaden its service capabilities, geographic footprint and the sectors that it services, says the firm.

Today, RSK is made up of 70 businesses, all working together to provide services in a range of sectors including energy, transport and property and probably most famously known by many in the agriculture industry as the owners of ADAS.

The new partnership will see the RSK logo will sit proudly on the front of the Wasps shirt for domestic and European fixtures throughout the ‘19/20 season.

RSK has over 130 offices globally, including 74 in the UK and Ireland. Two of these are in Coventry, not far from the Ricoh Arena, the official home of Wasps Rugby Club and the firm hope to strengthen its presence in the Midlands through the sponsorship of Wasps.

Shared values

Alan Ryder, RSK founder and chief executive officer, said: “I’m pleased that RSK will be partnering with Wasps this season. It is a local club for many of our employees and clients, and its national and international reach will help elevate the RSK brand. RSK and Wasps have many shared values, and we look forward to working together this season to support community projects and promote positive mental health and wellbeing.”

The new Wasps chief executive, Stephen Vaughan, also commented on the partnership: “I’m delighted to see RSK supporting Wasps. Since buying the Ricoh Arena in 2014, we have worked hard to engage with the local business community. RSK has a strong presence in the Midlands and is a very welcome addition to our partner family. We look forward to working with them and helping them accelerate their business objectives.”
