A new one-day show dedicated to farming and machinery in the Southern Counties is taking place later this year.

The inaugural Southern Counties Farming & Machinery Show is taking place at the Newbury Showground on Wednesday 15 November and is free to attend.

It’s the creation of Kelsey Media, the publisher of the UK’s top agriculture brands – South East Farmer, Agricultural Trader, Profi, Farm Machinery, Vineyard and Crop Production Magazine.

Varied exhibitors

The show will feature a range of agricultural companies and is sponsored by Samagri Ltd, which is the sole UK importer of the Virkar direct drill range. Confirmed exhibitors include Chandlers, Farol, KUHN, Openfield, OMEX and more.

Live auction

There’ll also be a live auction on the day from Symonds & Sampson’s dedicated Agricultural Auctioneers, who’ll be holding a collective auction of machinery and equipment.

Partner and auctioneer Paul Heard says a live onsite auction at this important industry event not only brings added interest, but is also the perfect opportunity to trade machinery at the end of the season. “Live online bidding will be available on certain lots for those unable to attend on the day, thus ensuring that lots entered will be accessible to buyers from far and wide,” he comments.

Seminar programme

Thought-provoking seminars will take place throughout the event, with topics including grain marketing post-CAP; Red Diesel rules; crop nutrition and agricultural robotics.

In addition to the show’s core farming and machinery content, there’ll also be construction and outdoor power equipment for visitors to see and live demonstration areas.
